Ice Skating Lessons at Ice Town (Figure Skating Academy)

Ice skating is an exciting, invigorating, & enjoyable activity.
In the Ice Town Skating Academy, you’ll learn the skills that will enable you to enjoy a lifetime of fun & exercise. Step by step instruction in pleasant, supervised surroundings makes learning safe & easy.  New skaters are always welcome. Classes are grouped by age and ability, and meet once weekly.

 The Skating Academy structures its classes to be a positive learning experience filled with lots of fun.

ICETOWN is taking our academy to another level. A portion of our classes will be dedicated to teaching figure skating skills applying one of the most important aspects of the sport, MUSIC. Attached you will find an example of the musical information and background our students will receive before continuing to practice.

  • The first twenty minutes of class will be taught the same way as before

  • The ten remaining minutes will incorporate music into the basic lesson plan

  • Coaches will first explain the music piece and give the background  information on it

  • The skaters will then continue with their skills using the rhythm and tone of the music selected

  • Students graded & individually tested regularly

  • Make-up lessons.  If you miss any of your regular lessons, you may make them up by attending another lesson of the same or similar level.  No credit is given for missed lessons. Monthly dues must be current.

$119.00 Registration Fee (Annual)
$109.00 for each additional family membership - Due at time of Registration
$46.00 Monthly Payment - This includes; one- half hour class each week.
*$75.00 Monthly Payment - This includes; two- half hour classes each week.
*$94.00 Monthly Payment - This includes; three- half hour classes each week.
* Some restrictions apply.

Each class is 1/2 hour, and meets once per week for 48 weeks per year.  There are four weeks during the year that classes are not held.  The monthly payment are due every month and are based on an average of 48 classes per year.  Academy members are entitles to receive free public session during the weeks that classes do not meet.

You may choose to take the same class multiple times per week or take two separate classes that may include a specialty class, i.e.; Spin Class, Moves in the  Filed, etc.  Please contact the director for complete details.

Optional
$19.00 Parent Public Session Pass. (If your child is registered in the Skating Academy, parents have an opportunity to skate on all of the public session for only $19.00 a month per parent. This offer is limited to two parents per child and can not be transferred to siblings or any other person. A $39 dollar annual membership is waived if the parent  registers at the same time as the child.)

Teens and kids even get discounts on tickets to our arena. Your county YMCA can provide with a list of prices and a directory of our camps. This week meet your friends at our place for some healthy dancing and games.
